As you may or may not know, I come from a golf background. My mother, Myra VanHoose Blackwelder, was Rookie of the Year on the LPGA Tour in 1980. She had me while she was playing on the tour and then retired to raise my brother Myles and I in 1992.
My mom and I are the first ever mother - daughter duo in LPGA Tour history!
My father, Worth Blackwelder, has had a very successful career as a caddy on the LPGA Tour. He is going to caddy for me this year, and I hope to learn lots from him and benefit from his experience.
